The courses are offered at no cost to you, you will even be paid for the time you spend working for the department!

fire gearMost of your new skills will transfer to different departments if you move to a new community. About 80 percent of Alberta’s firefighters are members of volunteer departments, with only 8 departments in the province composed of full-time staff.

It pays to volunteer!

During the modules of the NFPA 1001 courses you will have the opportunity to train at different Fire Departments in Central Alberta. It is a great way to meet other Fire Fighters and use different equipment and techniques.
